August 2024 Workshop Recap
Where students got to work with a camera gimbal
This workshop went a bit longer than expected, but we're thrilled to have had the opportunity to get to know our students better and share some exciting gimbal techniques with them. Here’s a quick recap of what our students got to do:
Learn about the different components of a gimbal
Set up and balance a camera with the gimbal
Operate the gimbal (both hands-on and remotely)
Experiment with different gimbal movements
Learn how to create the "Room Pan Cloning Effect"
What are AVI Student Workshops? Every first Wednesday of the month, our studio hosts a free workshop for students ages 16-20 looking to pursue the arts, specifically in film, photography, and digital media. Here you can explore, experiment and add to your portfolio!
Our next monthly workshop is Film Basics: Camera Settings, Lenses & Rigging on September 4th. This special workshop will be hosted by Michael Pitruzzella, DP/Cinematographer and creator of "The Tapes".
